How is video fire detection different from smoke detectors?
A camera-based system sees flame and smoke where they start, instead of waiting for smoke to drift up to a ceiling-mounted detector — which matters in high-bay warehouses and open plant floors. Cupola360 Sentinel adds 360° tiled inference, so even distant small flames in a panoramic view are caught, with burst confirmation and sky/overexposure filters to keep false alarms down.
Do we need a GPU server or a full VMS platform?
No. One AI engine handles both fire/smoke detection and restricted-zone intrusion on a single machine with modest compute — no GPU farm, no full video management system. The custom ONNX inference runtime was rebuilt for plant-floor hardware, and detection covers 360° panoramic as well as flat cameras.
How do restricted-zone intrusion alerts work?
You open the camera's live view in a browser and click to draw a polygon zone — no config files or coordinate math. Intrusion is judged on the person's foot position, with alert-on-entry or alert-on-dwell modes per zone. When someone crosses the line, an annotated snapshot is pushed to your phone within seconds and the live view shows the tracked box.
